Biography

He was born in the city of Havana, Cuba where he started his music studies in piano at the young age of 8 in Guillermo Tomas Conservatory.  At the age of 12 he  started his studies in saxophone graduating in 1992 from the prestigious Amadeo Roldan Conservatory  as an executor and instructor of the instrument . In his years in Cuba he was part of many bands and musical projects like “Kiki Corona” (keyboards and sax) ,” Conexion Salsera” (musical director and sax player ) and “Perspectiva” (Former Arturo Sandoval’s Band) with whom he participated in the International Jazz Plaza Festival in 1997. 

In the year of 1998 he traveled to Mexico where he lived for 8 years playing and performing with several bands and local artists in many states and in 2006 he migrated to the United States, first in Miami FL and then to Los Angeles where he currently lives and works.
